The relationship between nonexponential relaxation and molecular stiffness in aromatic model compounds
نویسندگان
چکیده
The a relaxation of a series of ether–ketone model compounds was studied to quantify the effect of molecular stiffness on the Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts stretching exponential. The obtained values decrease with increasing stiffness and are within the theoretical bounds predicted for systems with spatial dimensionality varying from 2 to 1. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. @S0021-9606~00!51512-8#

Topological Relationship Between One-Dimensional Box Model and Randić Indices in Linear Simple Conjugated Polyenes
The alternative double bonds and conjugation in the polyene compounds are one of the main properties in these compounds. Each carbon-carbon bonds in a polyene compound along the chain has appreciable double-bond character. The p-electrons are therefore not localized but are relatively free to move throughout the entire carbon skeleton as an one-dimensional box. The skeleton be considered as a r...
متن کاملA Study on Retention of a Series of Aromatic Compounds in Mixed Micellar Liquid Chromatography Using Linear Solvation Energy Relationship (LSER)
The effect of SDS (0.03-0.07 M) and Brij-35(0-0.003 M) concentrations and temperature on retention parameters of 30 solutes in micellar reversed- phase liquid chromatography systems were studied using solvation parameter model. The system constants were determined by multiple linear regression analysis from experimental values of the retention factors with known descriptors by computer usin...
متن کاملDetermination of the Relationship between Impact Sensitivity and Electrostatic Sensitivity of Nitro Energetic Compounds through Multiple Linear Regression Method
In this work the relationship between impact sensitivity and electrostatic sensitivity of energetic nitro compounds is investigated. Also, the most important molecular descriptors which have effect on this correlation are studied. The results are shown that the ratio of number of the oxygen atoms to hydrogen atoms ( nO/nH), the number of amino groups(NH2)have an important roles in the proposed...
متن کاملQuantitative Modeling for Prediction of Critical Temperature of Refrigerant Compounds
The quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) method is used to develop the correlation between structures of refrigerants (198 compounds) and their critical temperature. Molecular descriptors calculated from structure alone were used to represent molecular structures. A subset of the calculated descriptors selected using a genetic algorithm (GA) was used in the QSPR model development...
متن کاملEffect of Rotation and Stiffness on Surface Wave Propagation in a Elastic Layer Lying Over a Generalized Thermodiffusive Elastic Half-Space with Imperfect Boundary
The present investigation is to study the surface waves propagation with imperfect boundary between an isotropic elastic layer of finite thickness and a homogenous isotropic thermodiffusive elastic half- space with rotation in the context of Green-Lindsay (G-L model) theory. The secular equation for surface waves in compact form is derived after developing the mathematical model. The phase velo...
